Could a grant help
with your charging point?

AS Electrical Solutions is an OZEV-authorised chargepoint installer. OZEV is the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles. Some customers can get help towards eligible installation costs—but authorisation does not mean every installation qualifies.

01 / RENTERS & FLAT OWNERS

Up to £500
towards eligible costs.

The current renters and flat-owner grant covers up to 75% of eligible purchase and installation costs, capped at £500. It is for eligible renters and flat owner-occupiers with an eligible electric vehicle and designated private off-street parking.

This is not a grant for every homeowner with a driveway. Property permissions and the full scheme criteria also apply.

02 / WORKPLACE CHARGING

Up to £500
per eligible socket.

The Workplace Charging Scheme covers up to 75% of eligible purchase and installation costs, capped at £500 per socket and 40 sockets across an applicant’s sites.

Organisation type, dedicated off-road parking and who will use the chargers all matter. Do not assume customer-only parking qualifies; check the scheme’s rules and exceptions.

Are you OZEV-authorised?

Yes. AS Electrical Solutions is an OZEV-authorised chargepoint installer. Ask us about your project and the relevant grant scheme; installer authorisation does not mean every customer or installation qualifies for a grant.

Can I have a charger installed at home?

Tell us about your parking arrangement and electrical supply. We can discuss the checks needed to assess a suitable installation, including any permissions relevant to your property.

Do I need to choose a charger first?

No. Explain what you need from charging and whether you have a preference. We will discuss suitable equipment and installation requirements before you decide.

Can an EV charger work with solar panels?

Compatible equipment and suitable system design can allow solar generation to contribute to vehicle charging. Tell us about your existing or planned solar installation so we can discuss the options.

Does every home qualify for an OZEV grant?

No. Eligibility depends on the applicant, property, vehicle, parking arrangement and current scheme rules. The renters and flat-owner grant is not available to every homeowner with a driveway. Other schemes have different criteria; check the official guidance and discuss eligibility before installation.
